United Way Central Plains is continuing their 50th Anniversary celebration by giving out funds through our Community Response Grant program. A portion of our fundraising campaign is allocated each year to be used for Community Response Fund Grants. We are encouraging communities in the catchment area to apply for funds available through this grant program. The Community Response fund is designed to provide funding to nonprofit organizations, programs, and initiatives in our catchment area in addition to the funding we already provide our Member Agencies. Eligible communities that are in our service area include: Altamont, Amaranth, Austin, Bagot, Delta Beach, Elie, Elm Creek, Fannystelle, Fortier, Gladstone, Haywood, High Bluff, Holland, Katrime, Lakeland, Langruth, Lavenham, Macdonald, MacGregor, Marquette, Newton, Norte-Dame-de-Lourdes, Oakland, Oakville, Plumas, Poplar Point, Portage la Prairie, Rathwell, Roseisle, Rossendale, Sidney, Somerset, Southport, St. Ambroise, St. Claude, St. Eustache, St. Francois Xavier, Starbuck, Treherne, Westbourne, and Woodside.
United Way’s mission is to unite our community to enhance the quality of life for all those in need and we feel by providing funding to these organizations through our community response fund we are progressively working towards making the Central Plains area a better place.
Community Response Grants are available for 2018 and can be applied for on a first come first serve basis. Applications need to be submitted.
